I recently read an article (http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2007/05/29/pill.html) which seems to show that the Brazzilian Cathlic Church is subsidizing cheap birth control pills and giving away “millions” of condoms. What does this tell us?
Well, for one, they are doing it against the authority of the Pope.
So, even though in this case the National Catholic Church has gotten the picture and realized that it is a “public health issue”, the Pope’s own stance is unmoved, one-sided, and therefore evil.
So, For all X when X is a pope, X is evil
For some X when X is not the pope, is is not evil.
Logic is quite poor at expressing the logical relation between the Pope and the Brazzillian catholic church, no?
