Aux Morts de la Commune

As a self-defined Anarchist, it was a poignant and meaningful experience to pay respects at the Mur des Fédérés, in the Pierre Lachaise cemetery, which is where the last combatants of the Paris Commune were executed by the forces of Versailles. In our contemporary (first)world of non-violent resistance and decentralized struggle, it is perhaps not without merit to keep in mind other times, where other forms of organizing and struggle were rallied around, which had in turn their own merit, need, and usefulness for their time and context.
